Enthusiastic Participants in the Training October 2019
Bogor, 18 October 2019. Located at IPB University, Indonesia, System Dynamics training was held. Very thorough preparation was carried out so that the training program was successful with the interest of many participants to use system dynamics in their studies / research. In this event the team from the System Dynamics Center invited several expert speakers in system dynamics namely Prof. Dr. Bambang Pramudya, M.Eng, Dr. Ir. Hartrisari Hardjomidjojo and Dr. Irman Firmansyah M.Sc and the team of instructors Dr. Casnan, S.Si, M.Sc.
Friday, October 18, 2019 the first day of the period VII system dynamics training event began. The training participants were attended by various institutions and agencies with a total of 26 participants. The enthusiasm of the participants in participating in this training and the curiosity of the participants in exploring the system dynamics is quite large, because the system dynamics model can be applied in various fields and sectors.
At the beginning of the event the participants were guided by Prof. Dr. Bambang Pramudya with the theme “Philosophy and Introduction to System Dynamics”. The participants followed this lesson very well, slowly but surely Prof. Dr. Bambang Pramudya taught the participants how the basics and how to work the system dynamics later. Discussion between Prof. Dr. Bambang Pramudya and the participants were very interesting, because there were some participants who basically did not understand the system dynamics, were mistaken about the system dynamics and so on. Therefore, Prof. Dr. Bambang Pramudya directed the participants to a correct understanding of the system dynamics.
Learning continued by the speaker Dr. Ir. Hartrisari Hardjomidjojo who will deliver material with the theme “Policy Scenarios in Dynamic Systems”. In this session, Dr. Ir. Hartrisari Hardjomidjojo will provide an overview / visualization of policies that need in system dynamics, because to optimize implementing policies with dynamic systems and solving problems easily.
The last session on the first day by Dr. Irman Firmansyah M.Si who will review the learning of system dynamics starting from the beginning to the end, then how participants understand about System Dynamics, because during the training there will definitely be various questions from the participants. Dr. Irman Firmansyah M.Si will explain what the participants asked about the system dynamics. It is expected that after this training the participants will be able to implement a system dynamics in various aspects as well as the research to be carried out.

After understanding the basics of system dynamics starting from Philosophy and Scenario. The practice of system dynamics by the instructor Dr. Casnan, M.Si who brought the material “application system dynamics using software”. In this practice using powersim software which will provide an output of decision making how the results of the data are simulated.
