Series Activity and MoUs, MoAs and Guest Lectures between the System Dynamics Center and the University of Jember

March 7 2023, the signing of the MoU, MoA and Guest Lecture was held between the System Dynamics Center and the University of Jember. The MoU was signed by Dr. Ir. Iwan Taruna, M.Eng as Rector of the University of Jember and Dr. Irman Firmansyah as Head of System Dynamics Center. At the same time the signing of the MoA by Prof. Dr. Ir. Isti Fadah, M.Si as the Dean of FEB UNEJ in strengthening the Big Data Laboratory, Data Science and Data Intelligence and collaborating on System Dynamics Center programs.

The series of events also held a National Guest Lecture with topic “System Dynamics for Strengthening Research Methodology and Regional Development Planning” from speaker Dr. Irman Firmansyah, M.Si and Dr. Chaterina Agusta Paulus, S.Pi, M.Si, CRA.
Attended by more than 60 participants, from various stakeholders and institutions. Participants are university in another distric, goverments and agencies in Jember, stakeholders and partner institutions, lecturers and postgraduate students.

In the guest lecture, various implementations of system dynamics in global/international, national to regional or technical scale planning were also presented. The importance of strengthening for up to date methodology and strengthening planning based on projections and policy scenarios for both medium and long term planning. Besides this, they also presented the importance of Big Data, towards scientific data and intelligence data. Where the most important Power of Big Data is actually at the University so that strengthening cooperation between Regional Governments and Universities becomes very important.
